It sets out the concepts and principles for successful information management at a stage of maturity described as "BIM according to ISO 19650". This International Standard provides recommendations for a framework to manage information including exchanging, recording, versioning and organizing for all actors addressing every working environment. This standard applies to the whole life cycle of a built asset, including strategic planning, initial design and construction, day-to-day operation, maintenance, refurbishment, repair and end-of-life.
